Gautrain

Strathavon Guest House is located on the Gautrain (www.gautrain.co.za) bus route.  The Station itself is less than 2.5kms from the Guest House.  The station links OR Thambo (www.acsa.co.za) with Johannesburg City Centre, Rosebank, Sandton, Midrand and Pretoria.  The Sandton Station is the Main Hub. Avis Car Rental (www.avis.co.za), EuropCar (www.europcar.co.za) and Budget Car Hire (www.budget.co.za) have car hire facilities at the Sandton Station.

Sandton Convention Centre

The Sandton Convention Centre (www.saconvention.co.za) is 2.3kms from the Guest House. The Sandton Convention Centre is Southern Africa’s international leading and most prestigious, multi-purposes exhibition and convention centre.   It is connected, via covered walkways, to both Sandton City Shopping Centre (www.SandtonCity.com) and to the Nelson Mandela Square (www.nelsonmandelasquare.com).

Medical

For those people needing to travel for medical reasons, Strathavon Guest House, offers discounted rates for relatives traveling with patients (T&C’s).  Morningside Medi-Clinic (www.mediclinic.co.za), and Netcare Sunninghill Hospital (www.netcare.co.za ) are within a 5km radius of the Guest House.  Strathavon also has a long standing relationship with the Sandton Oncology Centre (www.sandtononcology.co.za) which is also within a short distance from the Guest House.

The Guest House is situated very close to the main Sandton CBD (less than 2.5kms).  There are a number of restaurants in the CBD which are highly recommended.
